Rebecca Herpick is a fully trained, licensed and experienced multi-disciplined Acupuncturist, Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, Chinese Herbal Therapist and Qi Gong practitioner.
Having earned a four-year Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (M.S.T.O.M) degree from Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, NM, Rebecca studied all aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M). Her training included deep studies in Tui Na (Chinese medical massage), Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, dietary therapy, Tai Ji Chuan and Qi Gong. In addition to her degree in these disciplines, Rebecca is a licensed acupuncturist (LAc) and is nationally certified and licensed to practice oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (NCCAOM) as well as specifically in the state of Kentucky where she currently maintains a successful private practice.
During her clinical training, Rebecca studied with master herbalists Thea Elijah and Dr. Kangen Yu, both of which had a strong impact on her knowledge and growth in this discipline. Rebecca went on to continue her studies at the post graduate level by attending trainings at Eastover Acupuncture. She also attended and studied post graduate level symposiums on Medical Qi Gong. Continuing her desire to fully expand her skills and areas of practical and applied focus, Rebecca Taoist Qi Gong and T.C.M. training under the tutelage of Michael Winn and Mantak Chia, instructors of the Healing Tao.
Prior to dedicating her life, professionally and personally, to the study of Qi Gong and Oriental Medicine, Rebecca was a graduate of the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics after which she built and maintained a successful massage practice for 15 years in Lexington, KY. During this time, she incorporated a variety of treatment specialties in addition to traditional massage therapy that included yoga, craniosacral therapy, qi gong and reflexology as necessary to fully meet the needs of her clientele.
Rebecca currently maintains a successful acupuncture practice in Lexington, KY while continuing her educational growth through continuing education opportunities as well as enjoying the many fulfilling aspects of the ancient healing arts through teaching qi gong and Taoist practices to students and offering acupuncture and Chinese medicine lifestyle coaching to her clients.
