Policies and Procedures

It is our intention to provide our guests with professional and therapeutic services. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and repeating guests of Zenergy.

We strongly believe that your time is valuable as is ours and we make every attempt to be ready for your appointment at the scheduled time. In our commitment to provide a unique and outstanding experience to all of our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:

Arrival

Please arrive for your appointment 5 - 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client form (new clients), change and prepare for the service. All sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule. The original treatment time will be charged.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances might arise that require you to need to adjust your schedule.  In the event that a schedule change or cancellation is necessary, please notify us, or go to your online access, to change or cancel your scheduled appointment at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time to avoid a 50% late cancellation or no show charge.

Late Arrival Policy

We regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged.

No Show Policy

At Zenergy, we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment. Clients who fail to show for appointments will have a 50% no show charge and may be asked to pre-pay for future services.

Informed Consent

At your first visit with us you will receive a copy of the center policies and will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the center policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out this form.

Scope of Practice

Zenergy offers therapeutic modalities that generally fall within the scope of energy therapies which are intended to provide support of the body’s natural healing processes. These therapies do not offer or suggest diagnoses, treatment, cures or prescription for medical conditions, and are not considered as traditional medical care. These therapies do not involve physical exam or contact except where equipment placement is necessary or where a client needs assistance with equipment use. The only manual therapy is massage therapy in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.

Zenergy therapists and practitioners do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Any medical questions or concerns should be discussed with the client's own medical doctor. Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions.

Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries

Most of the therapies offered at Zenergy do not require special attire or undressing. In some circumstances, clothing may need to be adjusted to appropriately provide certain focused therapy, but any client may refuse any clothing adjustments at any time.

For Infrared Sauna sessions a client may lock the room door and dress undress to any level of desire or comfort. During any Infrared Sauna session, the room will be entered by a staff member only in the event of an emergency.

For Massage Therapy, our therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it. A client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time. The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and a practitioner or therapist is NEVER appropriate.

Confidentiality and Conversation

We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody outside of our staff without your express permission.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep Zenergy informed of any existing medical conditions and any medical treatment currently being taken. When conditions or treatments exist that pose a possible contraindication to any of the therapies available at Zenergy, the client must provide written permission from their private medical provider that the therapies chosen are not contraindicated in relation to that existing condition or treatment. The client must also keep the practitioner or therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

If you have any questions on the above information, please direct them to Zenergy at 859-281-1166.
